Stories of Stephentown

  • Stephentown Town Hall 26 Grange Road Stephentown, NY, 12168 United States (map)

Whether a native, newcomer, neighbor or visitor, you are invited to listen to a variety of talented & humorous local residents share their personal stories of life past and present in our unique rural Rensselaer County town.

Hear tales about Stephentown’s farm life, railroads, mills, and manufacturing. Learn about the important role our schools, library, churches, and fire department play in our community. Share in the personal recollections of a local veteran and a former school teacher. Get a flavor of the 1950s from a seventh-grader's diary.  Revisit the archives of the hometown paper, The Echo.

The event will conclude with our Town Supervisor reflecting on the past, examining the present, and looking forward to the future of the only Stephentown on Earth.
